Acolytes are those blessed by the Odin Orthodoxy to travel through Midgard providing support to allies and banishing any who step against them. They train from a very early age to become priests, being sent to the mountains of Midgard to do battle against demons and heal the wounded. Since the uprising of many, new monsters, Acolytes are more in demand than ever, charged with protecting others on the battlefield.
While proficient at revitalizing their friends, Acolytes can dish out damage through prayers taught to them from the priests of Odin. These recitations can fling holy hammers towards oncoming enemies or even stun and disorient them. They even have the ability to resurrect those who have fallen back to a fighting state.
Ragnarok Online II is a free-to-play fantasy MMORPG from Gravity and the sequel to the original Ragnarok Online. It allows players to choose from five classes and take on quests and instanced.

Acolytes must decide at level 25 to become a revered Priest or choose the path of the disciplined Monk. Priests use the powers of exorcism to tear demons from their victims and banish them, as well as keeping their party alive by helping the injured recover. While Priests act as the shield of the church, the Monk is the weapon. By studying the teachings of their Elders, Monks are able to hone their body and mind to unleash devastating damage.

Monks are Acolytes who transfer from the Odin Orthodoxy to study under Je-hoon. They train their bodies as shields and their fists as weapons. Once they begin training as a Monk, they put aside all training they received as an Acolyte.

Priests advance the abilities gained as an Acolyte in the Odin Orthodoxy to provide stronger support to their allies and stronger opposition to their foes.

No other citizen of Midgard is as attuned to nature as the Archer, wielding the bow to unleash a fury of arrows at their enemies and prey. They are the steadfast protectors of the forest and animals within it, experts at tracking and hunting through the wilds. Honing their senses and observational skills, the Archer can deliver a fatal blow to their enemy from afar before they even knew what hit them.
Archers not only utilize deadly sharp arrows upon their enemies, but set up a variety of traps to capture or damage their prey. These well-hidden traps can latch painfully onto an enemy’s leg, freeze them into a block of ice, or explode and rain fire down upon a group. These abilities make the Archer a formidable foe from afar, causing any evildoer to look over their shoulder when they trek through the forests.
Once an Archer reaches level 25, they have the choice to become a master of the bow as a Ranger or take on the forms of ferocious animals as a Beastmaster. The Ranger builds upon the abilities of the Archer by becoming an expert in the bow, unleashing a variety of arrows while hidden from direct repercussion. Rangers even have the ability to call down a falcon to assist them in ravaging their opponent. Beastmasters build upon their bond with nature by utilizing the powerful strength of animals to improve their physical strength. Some even become so powerful that they are able to take on the form of these feral beasts and tear through crowds of enemies.

Install an ankle snare trap that is activates for 30 seconds when stepped on. If a hostile target steps on the trap, it becomes immobilized. |
Ranger expands the abilities of the Archer, allowing for deadlier combos, stealth, and quick movement.

Beastmasters are able to turn into animals due to a mysterious power. The form of a Tiger grants increased movement speed; the spirit of a Bear increases attack power; the form of a Grizzly increases health and threat to enemies.

Magicians are in constant contact with the elements around them, able to manipulate them to improve themselves or wipe out their enemies. While others prefer to deal physical damage to their enemies, Magicians excel when they can control the battlefield from afar, slinging blasts of elemental damage at their foes relentlessly. Never underestimate the unbridled power of the elements when dealing with the Magician.
The Magician can emit a radiating coldness to their enemies, encasing them in a block of ice, immobilizing them temporarily. They then can unleash a scorching fireball, an electrifying thunder bolt, or shoot bone-chilling ice arrows to inflict damage. If the Magician is overwhelmed, they have the ability to create a devastating Thunderstorm to destroy enemies within an area.
Once a Magician reaches level 25, they are given the choice to become a wise and powerful Wizard or wield the power of a sage Sorcerer. Wizards study the intricacies of the magical arts through the Geffen Academy of Magic, researching better ways to cull their enemies and heal the land. Descendants of ancient magic users, Sorcerers find wielding the various magical elements a second nature, able to summon spirit allies in battle or able to revitalize injured allies.

If a Magician studies hard, they are able to further their knowledge of the elementals and create stronger fire, more protective ice, and the power of lighting and wind to gain special movement abilities.

Sorcerers attune themselves with nature more than Wizards, and gain the ability to use the Earth element to heal their allies. They also gain control over the destructive and healing powers of water as well as the destructive forces of lightning.
Role: Support, DPS
Swordsmen train from a very early age to be masters of the blade as well as a barricade against the evils of Midgard. They are able to hone their body as well as their mind in order to perfect the way of the sword. Able to focus the power of Auras into their weapons and armor, they provide a variety of skills and buffs to their allies during battle, unleashing targeted strikes by the sword while still defending others from harm. They never back down from an honorable fight, or a chance to protect the innocent from harm.
Swordsmen enjoy starting the fight first by delivering a devastating blow through the ability Bash. They then can follow up with a deadly blow called Head Crush that leaves a deep scar, causing the enemy to suffer additional damage over time. Reading from their Battle Manual, Swordsmen will raise the Critical Hit chance of their party before moving in to finish off their enemies.
Swordsmen will be given the opportunity at level 25 to become a just Knight or merciless Warrior. Knights train themselves in the great city of Prontera to become a shining beacon of power and nobility. The Warriors of Midgard avoid the etiquette and rules of Prontera, preferring to wield their mighty swords as mercenaries, running their blade through countless enemies as if it were nothing.

Attack an enemy and inflict damage, leaving a deep scar that will inflict additional damage every 2 seconds for 20 seconds. |
Magnum Break: |
Create a shockwave to inflict physical attack damage to a maximum of 3 surrounding enemies and obtain additional Threat Value equal to 50% of the damage. |

Increases the Critical Hit probability according to the character’s INT stat. |
At Level 25, the choice has come to choose your advanced class. Warriors are devastating mercenaries who have taken to the battlefield like fish to water. It is a terrible thing to be caught in their path. To become a Warrior you will need to see High Venatu the Warrior Drillmaster in Prontera.

A Swordman serves on the front lines in battle, using their sword to protect allies. Swordman is able to choose between Knight and Warrior at level 25.

Hidden amongst the shadows, wielding their razor sharp daggers, the Thieves are a deadly force. Agile yet powerful, they are efficient at dealing tons of damage while remaining quick on their feet. Utilizing poisons to subdue their enemies, Thieves are able to maintain the pace of a battle. Even the fleeing enemy can’t get away from the Thief, as they can throw their daggers to inflict damage as well.
One of the main tools in a Thieves arsenal is Hiding. The Thief is able to become invisible by hiding within their own shadow. The first attack coming out from Hiding benefits from 200% damage. Thieves bring their Mark of Genocide to the group as well, increasing the critical chance of abilities performed by the group.
Once a Thief reaches level 25, they are given the choice to become a stealthy Assassin or the dexterous Rogue. Assassins dwell within the shadows so much that they’ve made agreements with the Shadow Devils to learn to use their skills, a practice handed down through the Assassin’s Guild. Rogues build up their bodies to perform powerful moves with their daggers to help them destroy their enemies.

Hide yourself in the shadows. The first attack skill used during Hiding state also inflicts twice the damage. While hiding, your movement speed will be reduced. |
Dark Illusion: |
Inflict physical attack damage by attacking the enemy from behind. This skill always applies as a critical hit. |
Meteor Assault: |
Cause a shock wave on the surface to inflict attack damage of 23% to maximum 3 surrounding enemies. |
Rogues gain the use of a second dagger, and also work to increase their ability to hide. In addition, they gain various ways of disabling their opponents and greater ability to execute combos.

Assassins use claws in place of a dagger, and gain the ability to move faster both while hiding and not. They are very effective at ignoring an opponent's defenses, easily dispatching the threat.

Alter is a class unique to the Noels of Elenas. Their diminutive size obscures their magical abilities. They focus on debuffing their opponent's status and health. Alter may choose between Crecentia and Soulmaker classes at level 25.
Role: DPS
Crecentias are the traditional scythe-dancers of Elenas. They continue to do what they started as Alters, and focus on disabling their enemies.

Some Alters discover that they are called to support their allies more directly, and become Soulmakers instead. A Soulmaker teams up with his or her Soul Doll to provide health regeneration and damage support.

Ragnarok Online (Korean: 라그나로크 온라인, marketed as Ragnarök, and alternatively subtitled The Final Destiny of the Gods) is a massive multiplayer online role-playing game created by Gravity based on the manhwaRagnarok by Lee Myung-jin. It was released in South Korea on 31 August 2002 for Microsoft Windows. The game has spawned an animated series, Ragnarok the Animation, and a sequel game, Ragnarok Online 2: Legend of the Second. Player characters exist in a world with a player environment that gradually changes with the passage of time. Major changes in the features and history of the world take place as episodes in the RO timeline.
Gameplay[edit]
The gameplay is heavily based around Norse mythology, wherein the characters are taken from the stories around Ragnarök. Player characters interact in a 3D environment but are represented by 2D character sprites for front, back, side and diagonal facings. The major types of server-supported gameplay are Player vs Environment, Guild vs Guild, Player vs Player. Also supported by the game server are Group vs Group, Arena Combat, Player vs Monster, Player vs All, and various other specific scenarios at designated instance locations in the game world. Non-player character-run challenges and contests are also available with prizes, awards, and/or in a specific hall of fame listing.
Ragnarok Online Download
Players can sign up for quests and submit them for rewards as well as access storage and teleport services for a small fee. Every town will have the usual stores and shops where players can purchase and sell their items. The stores differ from city to city because each city is affiliated with a different job that players can choose from; therefore, the goods each sell are relatively for that particular job that the city is affiliated with. Quests usually provide a unique reward such as learning a new skill or receiving a rare item.
The job system initially consisted of 13 classes, which has increased to over 50 via several updates. Each class specializes in certain skills corresponding to archetypes in a role-playing game. Additionally, numerous equipment are exclusive to particular classes. The greatness of the equipment depends on the character attribute status.
Once a player reaches player level 99 and job level 50, they can 'rebirth' their character (not applicable to expansion classes and Super Novices). Rebirthing brings a character back to level 1 for both player level and job level. Reborn characters generally work the same as regular characters up until the second class. Instead of a second class, characters that are born can transcend to a new second job, different from those of a character that hasn't been reborn. These transcended job types have more skills and a larger number of 'stat points' to allocate to characters compared to second classes. The experience curve for transcendent jobs is significantly higher. Players are given the option to advance onto their third classes which provide an additional set of skills as well as allowing with player to break through the traditional level cap of 99.
Setting[edit]
Ragnarok Online is divided into a series of maps on two major continents, each of which has its own terrain and native monsters, though many monsters are present in multiple regions. Transportation between maps requires loading the new map and monsters are unable to travel from one map to another unless directly associated with the player such as a pet, mount, or hireling. Areas from Norse mythology are included.
Development[edit]
The official Ragnarok Onlineservers underwent massive game system changes in 2010, which has been titled 'Renewal'. Renewal revamped game mechanics, changed the behavior and interaction of stats, gears, and modifiers in the stat system, changed the way and amount of character experience, and introduced the 3rd Job Classes. There are various other changes that come with Renewal, including interface and hotkey alterations, as well as skill changes.

Ragnarok Mobile[edit]
Gravity Co. Ltd. released eight separate games for the mobile phone allowing players to experience the game on the road.[4] Each version focuses on the main aspect of certain classes based on the version of the game they have. Though not placed in the server, players control their character and complete a series of quests or tasks. As players earn zeny (the in-game currency) they are able to send the zeny to their real accounts. Also, a ranking is present where characters are ranked by the amount of zeny the character has.
